Praveen Poojary murder case : Judicial custody period of all 21 accused extended

Udupi, Aug 31, 2016:  All the 21 accused  persons in the  Praveen Poojary murder case   were produced before the court on August 31, Wednesday. Their judicial custody period has been extended till September 15.

Though one of the accused has reportedly applied for bail, the same has been rejected.   All the accused are lodged in the Hiriadka prison.

It may be recalled here that  Praveen Poojary was brutally hacked to death allegedly by activists of Hindu outfits on August 17, when he was transporting four calves in his tempo near Santhekatte in Hebri. Another youth named Akshay Devadiga who was also with Praveen was injured in the attack.
