Pop sensation Akasa’s ‘Thug Ranjha Tour’ to touch down Mangalore on Sunday

Mangaluru, Jul 12, 2018 : Bollywood and Indi Pop sensation Akasa will be in the city on Sunday July 15th as part of her promo tour for her latest smash hit single ‘Thug Ranjha’. The show will take place at Onyx Air Lounge & Kitchen, MG Road, Mangalore and shall begin at 7PM.
Trending across charts, TV, Radio and Digital, the song has already amassed 31 million views on YouTube. Written and composed by Vayu and co-composed by Akasa, the song has a swoony groove yet boisterous and talk about boys who think the world revolves around them. The song video features Bollywood actor Paresh Pahuja, who actually comes across as a sweet and chivalrous boy and the video ends in ambiguity
“This will be the first time ever where a Bollywood live show format would take place at a club in Mangalore. Akasa will perform alongside reputed and acclaimed turntable, sound specialist and pioneer ‘DJ Skip’ who together are going to have the night on its heels,” says Akshat Mudbidri, Director, Adventure Global Talent, the producer of the show.
Akasa Singh, a trained classical singer, hails from a musical family and began her singing career at the young age of 17. She has been featured in Angels of Rock (MTV), India’s Raw Star (Star Plus) that gave her a big Bollywood break with the smash-hit Kheech Meri Photo. With a vocal range spanning over 4 octaves, Akasa is known for her versatility and is one of India’s best LIVE performers. Her Pop debut was with none other than international pop icon Ricky Martin for a song called Vente Pa Ca. Currently she is being exclusively managed by Sony Music India.
Mixing his own signature sound, DJ Skip possesses a skill set unlike any other, with his unique trickery on the decks. As a DJ who thinks on his feet, he fuses his innovative scratching techniques with diverse genres like Trap, Hip-Hop and Dubstep. Skip’s sound is versatile and he is not afraid to experiment, refusing to be bound by the confines of one sound. That is the reason he was picked as the national winner of the Red Bull Thre3Style contest in 2011 and 2012 and went onto Chicago to represent India. In 2013, Skip was represented India at the IDA World DJ Championships and secured 3rd position worldwide in the show category.He is also part of a live electronic act, BLaNK that won the MTV Ultimate DJ Championship in 2010, which took them to UK’s leading festival, Bestival in 2011 to play for a 55,000 strong audience. “A blend of technical proficiency, energy and innovation, DJ Skip is akin to a one-man army,” says Akshat Mudbidri.
The show will also feature popular Bangalore DJ and restaurateur Radio Active (Rohit Shenoy) and resident DJ (Vipin Shenoy).
