Poor family in dire need of funds for treatment of 13 yr daughter diagnosed with cancer

Deeksha Shetty Kasargod, Aug 12, 2015 : A poor couple from Mangalpady Pratapnagar who are  distraught ever since doctors have diagnosed their  13 year old daughter with blood cancer,  have sought the help of kind-hearted donors for the treatment of their daughter which would cost nearly Rs 10 lakhs.


Deeksha Shetty, a Class VII student of Don Bosco School of Kayyaru  and daughter of Sadananda Shetty, Shyamala couple was quite a normal girl until recently when she suddenly developed illness two weeks ago


. When treatment at different hospitals in Uppala proved to be a futile exercise, the couple took her to a private hospital in Mangaluru where doctors diagnosed her with blood cancer.

It has been learnt that the doctors treating Deeksha have said that the two-year long treatment for Deeksha would cost around Rs 10 lakhs which her poor parents who eke out a living doing coolie works are unable to afford.
