Mangaluru, Mar 17, 2015: Senior Congress leader B Janardhana Poojary has urged the state government to entrust the case of suspicious death of IAS officer DK Ravi to the CBI.
Addressing the media here on March 17, Tuesday, Poojary while suspecting the involvement of politicians behind the suspected suicide of the officer who was known for his honesty and sincerity, demanded that the government must not spare anyone found responsible for the officer’s death.
Poojary also recalled that the Chief Minister while interacting with him recently had himself said that he liked the style of functioning of the officer.
The senior Congress leader further demanded that the CBI should look into the circumstances that led to the transfer of Ravi from Kolar. He further said no sincere officer should be transferred well before the completion of his term.
The protests that erupted following the death of the officer was testimony to his popularity in Kolar district where he had served as DC earlier, Poojary stated.
