Addressing Media persons at the Press Club on Saturday, October 22 , Poojary recalled CM Ibrahim comments who went on to praise former Prime Minister, H D Deve Gowda- "Gowda had given a good administration as the Prime Minister and he alone can match his eminence and efficiency" he had stated.

Reacting to his comments Poojary said that Siddaramaiah who is also the chairman of Karnataka State Planning Commission should immediately resign from the post as his deputy called him to be an inefficient CM.

Siddaramaiah should sack CM Ibrahim from Deputy Chairman Post for his remarks. Ibrahim was in JDS before they left to join the Congress and so far he has done nothing good for the Congress party. Siddaramaiah has failed to understand the conspiracy of Devegowda led JD(S) against Congress.

State government is trying to destroy Nethravathi River by diverting water from Yettinahole. He blamed the two former chief Ministers who are giving wrong facts and figures to Siddaramaiah to implement the project. This project is promted with vested interest and it will make coastal region into barren land, he alleged.

The mega project, which is estimated to cost more than Rs 13 crores and this money, belongs to the people in Karnataka. The Nethravathi river which has several tributaries is been debilitated to supply water to arid districts of Bengaluru rural, Kolar and Chikkaballapur, said Poojary.

When asked about Uniform Civil Code, Poojary said that, does it really required as women should be treated equally and the time is nearing when women will ask triple Talaq to men.

Vijay Kumar Shetty, Purushottam Chitrapur and others were present.

CM hits back at Ibrahim

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah hit back at deputy chairman of the State Planing Commission C M Ibrahim on Saturday, over his recent comments about him.

Siddaramaiah“It is not possible to fulfil the demands of all unsatisfied people. Some people always remain unsatisfied,” Siddaramaiah told reporters here.

Ibrahim had said that the chief minister had failed to meet the expectations of the people, commenting about the functioning of the Congress-led state government and Siddaramaiah, in Mysuru a couple of days ago.

“Siddaramaiah has lost control over the administration. He has neither met the expectations of the people nor our dreams. Siddaramaiah himself knows this. I have also raised the issue with him. But he gives some excuses,” he had said.

“I have sought a report on the functioning of the Siddaramaiah government in the last three years. Officials have changed, they do not have commitment. Siddaramaiah has compromised with the system,” Ibrahim had said. The statements of Ibrahim, who had joined Congress at the behest of Siddaramaiah, have caused embarrassment to the chief minister.

Ibrahim had also said that it was high time that all Janata Parivar leaders, who have joined either the Congress or the BJP, return to the Parivar in the interest of the people of the state. Both the national parties had deceived the people in the Mahadayi river water sharing issue, he had said.

Ibrahim had predicted that like-minded people in all parties, Congress, BJP and JD(S), would come together soon.

Ibrahim had also hailed the style of functioning of former prime minister H D Deve Gowda. “Nobody can match Deve Gowda,” he had said.
