Speaking to reporters at the District Congress Office on January 7, Tuesday, Poojary said  Kagodu Timmappa had every right to criticise but he can never bring changes in Poojari.

Poojary further said never in the past in the history of the nation that a Speaker  has spoken against a government and questioned whether Kagodu intended at destabilising the state government.

Poojary also reiterated that he will pursue this issue further and wanted to know how as a speaker Kagodu Timmappa can ensure discipline in the Assembly when he himself ‘lacked discipline.’

Poojary further  reminded Kagodu of the importance of his post by saying ‘A Speaker’s post is a most revered position and is higher than the Chief Minister’s post.”

“How many hospitals has Kagodu visited when  he was the health minister?” Poojary further questioned and at the same time  was all praise for present Health Minister UT Khader. He said Khader was ceaselessly working for the welfare of the society.

Congress leaders Vijaykumar Shetty, Harikrishna Bantwal, Kallige Taranath  Shetty and  Arun Coelho were present at the press conference.
