Police thwart illegal cattle transportation in Bantwal

Bantwal: September 18, 2015: Police thwarted illegal cattle transportation in B.C Road on Friday September 18.  The police seized the vehicle that was used for the transportation. The accused however managed to escape from the spot.

The police have identified accused as Nasir, Siddique resident of Loretto Padav.

The police who were on Patrol on the early hours of Friday, got suspicious over Omni car which was coming for Melkar. Soon when the police stopped the vehicle the occupants of the vehicle escaped from the spot. When the police inspected they found four cattle crammed inside the car.

Police sources said that the cattle were being taken to the slaughterhouse
A case has been registered at town police station.
