Police arrest three persons for cheating people under pretext of gold polish

Belthangady: July 25, 2015: The Belthangady police on Friday busted a major racket involving North Indians who were cheating people under the pretext of gold polish.

 

The police have arrested three accused near Aladangady on Friday July 24.

According to the sources, the gang approached the wife of Sheshappa Nalike and his daughter near Alangady on Friday and convinced them with their skills. They asked them to hand over the gold ornament for polishing.  The gang members dipped the ornaments in a solution and went to other houses for more business. When Sheshappa Nalike’s son came home and removed the ornaments from the solution. He was shocked to see that gold ornaments were turned into several bits.

He informed the matter to the neighbors and locals and began searching for the gang. The locals caught the gang members and handed over to the police.
A case has been registered at local police station. The police are now searching for the other people involved in this racket.
