Police Flag Day celebrated in Mangaluru

 Mangaluru, April 2, 2016 : The City Police Commissionerate and the Dakshina Kannada District Police celebrated Police Flag Day at the Police Grounds here on April 2, Saturday. Police Flags were released by chief guest retired ASP   M Shankerappa during the function. The flags were sold to members present on the occasion.

 

 

A parade held on the occasion was participated by  the personnel of KSRP, District Armed Reserve Police, Traffic and Civil Police. The parade was led by  ASP (Probation)Rishyanth.

As many as 75 police personnel who retired from service in the year 2015-16 were honoured on the occasion.

 City Police Commissioner  Chandra Shekhar who spoke on the occasion  said the Department would be leaving no stone unturned in extending the best possible services and facilities to the police personnel.   He said the Department is always indebted to several of its retired police personnel who have served the police force with great dedication.

IG (Western Range) Amrit Paul, District Superintendent of Police Dr Sharanappa S D were present among others.
