Police Flag Day Observed in city

Mangalore, Apr 2, 2014 : The Mangalore City Police Commissionerate, DK District Police and KSRP 7th Battalion jointly observed Karnataka State Police Flag Day and Welfare Day here on April 2, Wednesday.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

B Jaya Bhandari, former DySP who spoke on the occasion, urged the police personnel to discharge their duties and responsibilities without bowing to pressure from any corner. It is only then that the society will recognise their sincere service, he added.

At the same time, he urged police personnel to remain away from politics during their service tenure.

R Hithendra, Mangalore City Police Commissioner urged the members of the public to purchase Police Flags as  it would help generate income for the Police Fund. The proceeds of the sale of Police Flags would go to the Fund, he informed.

On this occasion, several retired police personnel were honoured.

Dr Sharanappa, District Superintendent of Police,  C Rangaswamy, KSRP Commandant. Dr KV Jagadish, Deputy Commissioner of Police and several other police personnel were present.
