Please help 12 yr old Nitin, a cancer patient

Mangalore, Oct 9, 2014: Twelve year old Nitin S.D., a class VI student hailing from Bellare in Sullia taluk, is a very bright student who was bustling with enthusiasm like others of his peer group, until recently when he was diagnosed with Acute Myloid Leukaemia.

The boy who is the son of late Deviprasad and Bhagyashree, a daily wage worker, is presently under treatment at K.R. Hospital, Mysore.

Doctors treating on him have said he required  chemotheraphy and that the treatment period would extend for about two years. The poor family of Nitin is now at a loss not knowing how to arrange for the approximate sum of Rs 10 lakh needed for  treatment including surgery, hospitalization and cost of medicines.

Nitin’s father had died last year in a road accident and his mother has  no other source of income as of now. Though Bhagyashree  raised loans for treatment of her son and even his school teachers and students contributed their little bit, that was far from enough to meet the medical expenses of Nitin.

The family is now expecting financial aid from kind-hearted donors.
