Pillion rider killed, rider hurt in bike-truck collision in Kundapur.

Kundapur: August 4, 2015:A man who was pillion riding was killed on the spot and rider was seriously injured after their bike collided with a truck near Railway bridge at Kattbeltur near Hemmady on August 3.

The deceased has been identified as Surendra Ganiga (32), S/O Annapa Ganiga, a resident of Katte, Hemmady. The other rider who was injured in the accident has been identified as Sampath Poojary.

It is learnt that Surendra and Sampath were going toward Kollur, when a goods tempo collided their vehicle from behind. Both the bike riders were knocked down on to the ground. Sampath died on the spot.  The locals gathered at the spot and rushed the injured to a nearby hospital.

A case has been registered.
