Phalimar Seer Sri Vidyadheesha Theertha ascends Paryaya Sarvajna Peetha

Udupi, Jan 18, 2018: Sri Vidyadheesha Theertha Swamiji of Phalimar Mutt ascended the  Paryaya Sarvajna Peetha at a grand ceremony marked  by religious and traditional fervour at the Sri Krishna Mutt here on January 18, Thursday morning.

 

Earlier at 3 am a grand Paryaya procession featuring the cultural splendour and ethos of the region proceeded from Jodukatte to Carstreet following which the  Phalimar Seer   had the Darshan of Lord Krishna through the Kanakana Kindi. He later offered prayers at the Sri Chandramouleshwara and Sri Anantheshwara Temples.
As the Phalimar seer arrived at the entrance of the Sri Krishna Temple, he was  welcomed  by the outgoing Paryaya seer Sri Vishwesha Theertha Swamiji.  The Pejawar seer offered the Visarjana Pooja, the last pooja  before  handing over the  Paryaya Peetha to Phalimar Seer.

Later the Akshaya Patra, Sattuga and the keys were handed over to the Phalimar seer by the Pejawar Swamiji thus officially handing over of the power to offer pooja and manage the Sri Krishna Mutt for the next two years of his Paryaya Period.

Grand Paryaya Durbar : After ascending the Paryaya Sarvajna Peetha, the Phalimar seer held a Grand Paryaya Durbar at the Rajangana. Dr D Veerendra Heggade, Dharmadhikari of Dharmasthala,  Sri Vishwesha Theertha Swamiji of Pejawar Mutt, Sri Vishwa Prasanna Theertha Swamiji, junior swamiji of Pejawar Mutt, Sri Vidyasagara Theertha Swamiji of Krishnapur Mutt,  Udupi in-charge Minister Pramod Madhwaraj, NRI entrepreneur B R Shetty, Sri Lakshmivara Theertha Swamiji of Shiroor Mutt, Sri Vidyavallabha Theetha Swamiji of Kaniyoor Mutt, Vishwavallabha Theertha Swamiji of Sode Mutt and Eshapriya Theertha Swamiji of Admar Mutt were also present.
