Permission denied for rally in the view of sensitive nature of the district:Rai

Mangaluru, Sep 05, 2017 : In order to maintain law and order and also to avoid any untoward incident  Mangaluru City Police Commissioner has issued ordered denying permission for `Mangaluru Chalo’ bike rally by BJP Yuva Morcha on September 07 ,says District-in-charge minister Ramanath Rai.

 

ramanath 5 sep 17Addressing the media at town hall Rai said that,The BJP has planned to mobilise  youth workers for a bike rally to the coastal town to protest “political killings of Hindus” in the region in the last couple of years, but in the same many youths from  minority have also been killed . Police in multiple districts have denied permission citing security concerns but the party has vowed to go ahead with its rally.


In the same Food and Civil Supplies Minister U T Khader told  that, Managluru Chalo rally by the BJP Yuva Morcha is an attempt to stoke tensions in the communally sensitive region.The denial of permission is due to fears that the rally could spark violence. Anti-social elements could merge with the crowd and cause law and order disturbances.
