Pejawar seer wants Govt to declare Cow as National Animal

Udupi, Oct 31, 2014: Sri Vishwesha Theertha Swami, the Senior Pontiff of the Pejawar Mutt has  made a suggestion to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. To declare ‘Cow’ as the new National Animal of India.

In fact, the seer has been putting forth this demand since the past few years and has only reiterated the same recently. He says the rising violence in the nation would reduce if the  Tiger which is a cruel animal was replaced by the cow.

The seer said so at Chennarayapattana in Hassan. According to him the cow symbolised peace while the Tiger symbolized terror.

It has been gathered that several other religious heads too have supported the views of the Pejawar Swamiji.
