Peepul tree rolls over house near Jeppinamogaru ; lucky escape for family

Mangalore, Feb 18, 2014 : A tiled roof house was completely damaged  when a huge branch of a peepul tree rolled over it at Gujjarakere near Jeppinamogaru  here in the wee hours of February 18, Tuesday morning. Luckily, the occupants of the house escaped unhurt.

 The house belonged to Sudhaker Shetty  and the entire family was fast asleep when the  incident took place at around 4.30 am. By the time the family rushed out,  the entire roofing had collapsed.

Sudhaker Shetty, an autorickshaw driver by profession  has been residing in the house since the past several years. The loss has been estimated at Rs 4 lakhs.
