Pedestrian killed, another seriously injured in hit-and-run crash at Maravanthe

Kundapur, Feb 23, 2018: Police are investigating a hit-and-run crash that killed a pedestrian and another was seriously injured at Maravanthe in Kundapur on February 23, Friday morning.

 

The deceased is identified as Prabhakar(30) of Navunda. Suresh of Heranjalu was gravely injured in the accident. Both were employed at a private hotel in Kundapur.

Sources said that Prabhakar and Suresh were on their way home after late night work. They had alighted bus at Maravanthe and were walking along the road, an unkown vehicle knocked them. The locals who were on their morning walk noticed the duo lying injured and immediately informed police. Both were shifted to  private hospital in Kundapur, but Prabhakar was declared dead. Suresh is being treated at hospital.

Further investigations are underway.
