Passenger caught smuggling gold in jeans trouser at MIA

Mangaluru, June 13, 2019:  Gold in powder and paste form weighing 131.7 grams and valued at Rs 4.37 lakh was seized from a passenger who arrived by an Air India Express flight from Dubai, by the customs officials at the Mangaluru International Airport.

 

The gold was hidden in the hem of the jeans trousers worn by the passenger.
