Mangaluru, Nov 01 2019: A young lady with a prominent cultured background from the Konkani Christian community of the city MBA graduate, 26-year-old activist Mrs. Jessel D’Souza has filed her nomination and made her political debut with BJP ticket for MCC polls from Bendur constituency. Indeed this augurs change on the unseen barriers of religion and party in politics - a gradual change has been seen recently in many pockets of the country. She sought the blessings of religious leaders before filing her nomination on October 31, Thursday. People read change in politics now. Only change is permanent, nothing is a chance all a design.

Mrs. Jessel D’Souza stated to media that it is a considered step and she is keen to join the BJP and launch her career in politics after due process in the MCC elections now. The the caste, community and religion labels need to crumble, all aim is to serve the people of Mangaluru city.

This youth BJP candidate is facing long time Congress representative of Bendur a forward Christian area, is seen as an active person in the Church generally. An MBA, a graduate from SDM college,  she did PUC  studies at St Agnes PU College Bendur.

Daughter of prominent couple, Peter Alwyn D’Souza and Flany D’Souza, Jessel D’Souza is married to Dr Ryan Castelino a dental surgeon in the city. There is no doubt that all eyes will be focused on this courageous lady candidate and a foretaste of changes in the future of local politics.  Active groups are using this MCC election for greater aims to improve things it is observed and the out come is awaited with bated breath.
