Rashtriya Parisara Samrakshane Okkuta member Shashidhar said that several trees have been axed in the Deer park for the purpose of musical fountain. He also said that trees which were axed are most valuable ones and have been bulldozed and set  afire  for installing musical fountain.

He also questioned whether there was any need for axing trees for the fountain project when ample land was available in Kadri Park. He further took strong exception to the felling of trees on the  Valencia-Nandigudda stretch.

Activist Dinesh Holla said that the Department wants to convert the Deer Park into a Green Park but cutting the trees down for the purpose makes no sense.

Several members of Rashtriya Parisara Samrakshane Okkuta participated in the protest.
