Parashurama statue row: Sunil Kumar must be suspended, demands Mithun Rai

Mangaluru, Nov 07, 2023: Karkala MLA Sunil Kumar should be immediately suspended from legislatorship and from BJP over the issue of unlawfully setting up the Parashurama theme park on a Gomala land in Bailur of Karkala taluk and also for installing a ‘fake’ statue of Parashurama in the park, said Congress leader and KPCC General Secretary Mithun Rai.

 

 

 

Speaking to reporters at the Congress Bhavan on Tuesday, he said all officials involved in this case must be suspended.

He said a genuine statue of Parashurama must be installed at the theme park or any other place of the district. He said he will meet all religious heads regarding this issue and launch a campaign on Friday.

Karkala councillor Subhada Rao, Congress leaders Praveen Chandra Alva, A C Vinayraj and others were present.
