Panambur cops arrest duo for robbing couple at Tannirbavi beach

Mangalore, May 7, 2014:  Panambur police have arrested two persons on the charges of robbing a young pair which had come to the Tannirbavi beach on May 5, Monday.

The arrested are Hanish (21) a resident of Kudroli Bengre and Anil (20) of Bokkapatna Bengre. Cash of Rs 700 and  a motor bike  were seized from them among other things.

It is learnt, the duo who were riding a motor bike accosted Sooraj Kumar of Gurupur who was in the beach with a woman and robbed a cash of Rs 1000 and two cell phones.

Following a complaint by the two, the Panambur police immediately swung into action and arrested the duo near the MRPL gate. The operation was led by Police Inspector NR Mukti and sub-inspector Bharati G.
