Pally Jayaram Shetty memorial football tourney inaugurated

Mangalore, May 20, 2013: The Second Pally Jayaram Shetty Memorial State Level Inter-District Football Tournament was inaugurated at the Football Grounds of Nehru Maidan on May 20, Monday by Sadananda Shetty, Chairman of Sridevi Education Trust. The event has been jointly organized by Dakshina Kannada District Football Association and Karnataka State Football Association and will be held upto May 25.

Twelve district level teams from Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, Bangalore, Kolar, Mysore, Mandya, Kodagu, Davangere, Shimoga, Hubli-Dharwad, Belgaum and Bijapur will take part in the tournament on a League cum Knock-out basis.

Mohammad Ameen, President, Kanara Chamber of Commerce, Ganesh Hosabettu, former mayor, DM Aslam, Chairman D K District Football Association, M S Krishna Moorthy, Krishnoji Rao and Mohammed Hussain Bolar, Secretaries were also present on the occasion.
