Palemar reprimands Old Port officials for inefficiency

Mangalore, Aug 3: Krishna J. Palemar, the district-in-charge minister, paid a surprise visit to the office of the Old Port in Mangalore on Aug 3, Tuesday to investigate several complaints regarding government land encroachment.

 

 

 

 

The minister reprimanded the Old Port officials for failing to function properly and wanted to know why they delayed issuing boat permits. He warned that their practice of issuing boat permits only to those recommended by ministers should stop immediately.

He also warned the officials that he will take strict action against them if they fail to clear all pending files within a fortnight.
