Palemar demands withdrawal of proposed Common Zoning Regulations

Mangaluru, Aug 5,2017: BJP leader and former minister Krishna J Palemar has alleged that the plans of the state government to implement the common zoning regulations for urban development will adversely affect the farmers and the middle-class.

Addressing press persons here on August 5, Saturday, he said the proposed zoning regulations will have a major impact in Dakshina Kannada and Kodagu districts. He accused the state government of trying to implement the regulations without taking anyone into confidence.

Pointing out that under this proposed Eka Roopa Valaya Niyamavali land purchasers have to vacate 30 per cent of the land for the government; Palemar said this was nothing but a ploy to loot people.

He demanded that the state government withdraw the scheme failing which protests would be organised.

Dr Y Bharath Shetty, President of BJP Surathkal block and Vedavyasa Kamath, President of BJP South constituency unit were present.
