PM Modi Breaks Down While Paying Tribute to Sushma Swaraj

New Delhi, Aug 07, 2019: Former Foreign Minister and senior BJP leader Sushma Swaraj passed away at the age of 67 in Delhi’s All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) on Tuesday, 6 August.

The veteran BJP leader was brought to AIIMS in a critical condition after suffering a heart attack on Tuesday evening.

Her body was taken to her Delhi residence later in the night and will be kept for three hours at the BJP headquarters on Wednesday for people to pay tributes. The last rites will take place at the Lodhi Crematorium.


Prime Minister Narendra Modi got emotional, while paying his last respects to the former Foreign Minister at her residence, as the Prime Minister was seen breaking down while laying wreath to Swaraj’s coffin.
