PFI was wrong in picketing Police Commissioner’s office: Ibrahim Kodijal

Mangaluru, Apr 11, 2017:  Popular Front of India too is a communal organisation like the Bajrangdal, said District Congress Interim President Ibrahim Kodijal.

 

Addressing press persons at the District Congress Office here on April 11, Tuesday  he said the PFI was known more for creating disturbance rather than promoting peace in the society. "If at all the police had committed atrocities on Qureshi, then the PFI activists ought to have met the Commissioner and spoke to him rather than choosing to picket the  Commissioner’s office," he said.

If Qureshi was actually subject to police brutality, then the Congress would condemn it , but it would not accept picketing of Commissioner’s office, he clarified. At the same time he also condemned the police  atrocities on protestors. The issue has been discussed with the Chief Minister and Home Minister and they have assured action against  the guilty, said Kodijal.
