Mangaluru, Aug 29,2016 : Activists of the Popular Front of India along with some locals staged a protest near the mosque at Moodushedde Edurupadavu on August 28, Sunday demanding the release of a person named Saifulla who has been arrested in connection with the rowdy sheeter Charan murder case.
The protestors claimed that Saifulla who was arrested on Saturday was innocent . They also threatened to picket the Mangaluru Rural Police Station if the DCP did not meet them. Finally DCP Shantharaju who met the protestors assured to undertake a thorough probe into the case.
Meanwhile, security around Mangaluru Rural Police Station was tightened to ensure that people did not gather in the place for a protest.
