Over 400 KSRTC buses from DK on election duty

Mangaluru, Apr 17, 2019: People relying on KSRTC buses in various parts of the district are likely to be  affected as  the services of  quite a significant number of KSRTC buses are being utilised for election purposes.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

It has been gathered that as many as 400 KSRTC buses are on election duty in the district on Wednesday and Thursday.  Nearly 138 buses from the two KSRTC depots in Mangaluru, apart from 263 buses from Puttur division  are being used for election duty. Presently over 389 buses operate from Mangaluru division and  560 from Puttur division.

These buses are utilised not only for election duty in the district, but also in other districts.

The KSRTC has 8,705 buses in the state of which 3,314 buses are used on election duty. Meanwhile, no city bus in Mangaluru has been deputed for election duty.
