Mangaluru, May 27, 2018: The SC/ST grievance redressal meeting held at the City Police Commissioner’s Office here on May 27, Sunday concluded with participants raising just two questions. The meeting was chaired by  DCP Uma Prashanth.

Dalit leader Raghuveer who spoke on the occasion said there was need for all educational institutions to put up a board regarding the number of seats reserved under RTE. He also stated that most institutions were not following the rule.

Responding to the query, Uma Prashanth said steps would be taken  to put up the list  through the education officers concerned.

Another participant named  Parameshwar complained that he was receiving an anonymous call and that he had  sought information regarding the call from a private mobile company but of no use. He also stated that a complaint has been lodged at Barke Police Station.

Only seven Dalits had arrived to participate in Sunday’s meeting.
