Online shopping jumble : Customer orders cell phone, gets a stone!

Udupi, July 15, 2015 :  Here is yet another instance that calls for more cautiousness on the part of customers while ordering products online through e-commerce sites. This time, it was a doctor hailng from Shankerpura who  received a stone instead of a cell phone.

Dr Savio D’Souza who works for KMC had ordered a  Micromax Canvas Hotknot A99 8 GB phone worth Rs 6,350  from Snapdeal and  had even made online payment for the same.

However, he  was shocked when he opened the parcel from Snapdeal delivered by FedEx Courier on July 14, Tuesday. There it was, a stone of the same weight as that of the cell phone.

Though D’Souza contacted the  delivery agency, they made it clear that they only delivered the product and it was not their fault.

It has been gathered that Dr Savio who has a tight schedule has not yet filed a complaint.

This is at least the third instance wherein customers have received stones instead of ordered products in Udupi.
