One more COVID-19 death registered in Dakshina Kannada

Mangaluru, June 14, 2020: Throat swab samples of the deceased 26-year-old man, resident of Mangaluru, tested positive for Covid-19 on Sunday. With this total death tally rose to 8 in Dakshina Kannada district.

The youth had arrived from Maharashtra and had gone home after completing his institutional quarantine.

The youth was admitted to a private hospital due to kidney related ailment. However, he died without responding to treatment on June 12.

Health officials collected the throat swab samples of the deceased and sent it for Covid-19 analysis. The reports returned positive on Sunday.
