One dies in clash between 3 labourers

Mangaluru, Dec 30, 2023: A labourer who was attacked by another labourer couple  near the old bus stand at Hampankatta has succumbed to his injuries.

 

The deceased is Jayaram Poojary (52) of Kalladka. Jayaram who used to work in Hampankatta area also slept near the flower market every night. On Wednesday night he reportedly misbehaved with the wife of a labourer who was passing that way. The enraged labourer couple thrashed him and left him severely injured. Though he was immediately rushed to the hospital, his life could not be saved.

The incident was captured on CCTV camera and the police are on the lookout for the accused.
