Olympic standard swimming pool inaugurated at Emmekere

Mangaluru, Nov 24, 2023: Olympic standard swimming pool that has been set up at Emmekere in the city  under the Smart City Mission, was inaugurated on November 24, Friday. The 19th National Seniors Aquatic Championship also commenced to coincide with the inaugural ceremony. Swimmers from various states are taking part in the event.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

State Minister for Urban Development Suresh B S inaugurated the swimming pool. In his address, he said his Department would provide a grant of Rs 50 crore if any scheme was formulated with the objective of tourism development.

Speaker U T Khader, MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, MLA Vedavyas Kamath, Mayor Sudhir Shetty Kannur and others were present.
