Observance of Vigilance Awareness Week-2018 at NMPT

Mangaluru, Oct 29, 2018 : Vigilance Awareness Week is being observed in New Mangalore Port Trust (NMPT) from 29 October to 3 November as per the directives of the Central Vigilance Commission with the theme “Eradicate Corruption–Build a New India”.

As part of the vigilance awareness week, a walkathon was conducted by NMPT, in which the Employees of the port, l children of the NMPT English Medium School, Port users and general public participated in large numbers, displaying various placards relevant to this year’s theme. Banners relevant to the theme were displayed at prime locations of the Port and also at prominent nearby public places to sensitize public about Vigilance.

The walkathon was followed by administering the integrity pledge to the participants. Elocution and essay writing competitions were also conducted on the topics “Measures required to be taken to build corruption free India” and “How to build corruption free India”among the officers and employees of NMPT.

NMPT has also made arrangements in the conference room, 1st floor, Administrative office building for the staff and general public to take online integrity pledge (e-pledge) and obtain certificate of commitment from central vigilance commission.
