Notorious fraudster arrested by Kaup police

Udupi, Oct 13, 2014:  The Kaup police have on October 12, Sunday nabbed a notorious fraudster wanted in many cheating cases not only in the coastal districts but also in Shimoga and Mumbai.The accused identified as Sheikh Mohammad Yusuf (38) hails from Uchil.

Police informed that Yusuf who worked as a driver for different companies, managed to escape with cash and goods at the opportune time. He was wanted in connection with the case of robbing Rs 1.15 lakh at Mumbai and   in another case of cheating Mohammad Ashfaq of Doddapete Shimoga.

In yet another case, he is an accused in the case of cheating Abko Silk Company and Manjunath Roadlines  of cash amounting to Rs 50,000 and Rs 66,000 respectively.

The accused has now been entrusted to the custody of Shimoga police for further investigation.
