Noted singer Ranjani Hebbar passes away

Udupi, June 10, 2013 : Noted Carnatic classical musician Ranjani Hebbar passed rajanui 1 away  at the KMC Hospital at Manipal on June 9, Sunday night.


She was 30 and was suffering from cancer. She has left behind her husband Guruprasad and her parents.


Ranjani was the daughter of Vasanthalakshmi and Aravind Hebbar, Professor of Botany. Ranjani, who completed post graduation in classical music from Madras University, had emerged as a talented classical singer of the region and had even won a number of scholarships including M S Subbulaxmi scholarship. She was even an A Grade artiste at All India Radio.
