Bengaluru, May 20, 2016 : Even as Dakshina Kannada district observed a bundh on May 19, Thursday demanding the government to drop the controversial Yettinahole Project, State Health Minister UT Khader who represents Mangaluru (erstwhile Ullal) assembly constituency has said that the project will be implemented despite the several hurdles it might face. He also stated that there was no point in suspending the works as the project has already been approved.
He also stated that the government would try its level best to allay the fears in the minds of the people regarding the project.
He also said the government would try to convince the people of the district and clear all misconceptions.
Khader also informed that he has also made a request to the Chief Minister as well as Irrigation Minister to hold a meeting of all those concerned to discuss the project.
