Participating in an interaction programme organised by the Kanara Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) here on November 4, Wednesday,  he said  anyone who feels that he or she was discriminated upon can bring the same to the notice of the authorities concerned so that their grievance could be redressed.

At the same time he said some departmental investigation may delay issuing of visas in some cases.

Stating that the relationship between India and United States was  getting stronger with the passing of each day, he hoped this would pave way for a visa-free travel between people of the two nations in the near future.

He also stated that those applying  for fresh visa   have to attend a two phased interview process and that the process could not be completed in a single day.

Applications for visas submitted in groups for participation in seminars or cultural programmes are disposed soon, he added.
