No Nipah cases in Dakshina Kannada : DC clarifies

Mangaluru, May 24, 2018: Dakshina Kannada Deputy Commissioner Sasikanth Senthil has clarified that no Nipah case has been reported from the district.

 

Speaking to reporters here on May 24, Thursday in the backdrop of rumours  on  social media that there have been two Nipah cases in the district, the DC said a student from Calicut had  undergone the test just out of curiosity and the samples were sent to Manipal. The  result is negative, he said.

The DC urged the people not to believe rumours spread through social media.
