Nitte group has donated Rs.80 lakhs towards Flood Relief

Mangaluru, Sep 29, 2018: The Nitte Education Trust and the Nitte (Deemed to be University) together donated  a sum of Rs. 80  lakhs towards flood Relief  that devastated Coorg District of Karnataka and some districts of Kerala. 

The Pro Chancellor of the University Mr. Vishal Hegde handed over a Cheque of Rs. 40 lakhs  to the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Karnataka Mr. H D Kumaraswamy on 12th September 2018 towards Coorg Flood Relief Fund. 

In addition to the above, another cheque of Rs. 40 lakhs was  given to the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Kerala Mr. Pinarai Vijayan on 29th September 2018.  Nitte University    also showed their solidarity and rose to the occasion  by  sending medical teams   to the affected districts in Karnataka and Kerala  with   first aid and emergency medicine  kits to treat the patients. 

The medical team included   specialists from Orthopaedics, Psychiatry, Dermatology Dentistry and  others to  provide advanced treatment to those affected in the aftermath of the devastating floods.
