Nitte-KBL MSME Conclave and Business Excellence Awards today, Dec 7

Mangaluru, Dec 07, 2019:   Addressing media, Dr A P Achar, dean, Corporate Programmes, JKSHIM, said Justice K S Hegde Institute of Management (JKSHIM), Nitte, in association with Karnataka Bank will organise a programme ‘Nitte-KBL MSME Conclave and Business Excellence Awards 2019’ at Hotel Ocean Pearl, Mangaluru today, December 7, Saturday.

 

 

The aim of the conclave is to identify and address issues creating hurdles in the growth of MSMEs and enable them in conducting their business more effectively.

The programme aims to create a platform for sharing of knowledge, experiences in the areas of strategy for sustainable development of MSMEs, leadership styles for sustainable growth of MSMEs, access to affordable credit and risk management in MSMEs, enhancing the competitiveness of MSMEs through technology and innovation, powering MSMEs through Government Policies and Schemes.

Nearly 250 MSME entrepreneurs and industry delegates from different parts of the country (especially, Karnataka) will have the chance to share ideas, experiences and strategies, for sustainable development of MSMEs while developing relationships and network in the conclave, he said.

Key speakers in the conclave are C A Ullas Kamath, Joint MD, Jyothi Laboratories, Mumbai; Praveen Kamath, vice president, Global Delivery, WIPRO; Naveen Kumar director, HR, Tata Starbucks, Mumbai and Yogeesh Kulkarni, associate director, ANB Consulting, Mumbai. Representatives from various departments of the central and state governments will provide information about the various facilities available to MSMEs.

The conclave will also reward MSMEs with outstanding achievements through innovation, leadership, dedication and commitment. The second half of the day is going to reward the MSMEs across 20 award categories, towards their accomplishments in the respective category.

The award winners will get a short movie and case Study done by JKSHIM. The conclave is also designed to include an exhibition lounge, investor zone and business accelerator zone to cater to the varying needs of the MSMEs, he said.
