Nine-day Novena commences at Attur St Lawrence Shrine

Karkala, January 20, 2019: The nine-day Novena as a prelude to the annual feast of the historic St. Lawrence Shrine at Attur got underway on January 20, Sunday.  Karkala MLA and Chief Whip of Karnataka Assembly Sunil Kumar inaugurated the ceremony.

Speaking on the occasion, Sunil Kumar  hailed the greatness of the shrine of St Lawrence and assured to strive his level best to make further improvements in the place which has already  initiated many development works.

Former MLA Gopal Bhandary also spoke.  Fr George D’Souza, Rector of St Lawrence Minor Basilica,  Fr Jencil Alva, Assistant Parish Priest, ZP member Reshma Uday Shetty, John D’Silva, Vice President of Parish Pastoral Council and others were present.

This year’s annual feast will be held from  January  27 to 31. The theme of this year’s Feast is "Am holy so you also be Holy."
