New mayor presides over women’s organization meeting

Mangalore, Mar 5: A meeting of the Dakshina Kannada District Kannada Sahitya Sammelana Women’s Organization was convened at Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara College, Mangalore, on March 5, Friday. Mayor Rajani Dugganna presided over the meeting and released the representative coupons.
 

President of the Kannada Sahitya Parishad Pradeep Kumar Kalkura said that people’s love for English has ironically provided an opportunity to organize the DK District Kannada Sahitya Sammelana, which helps people learn more about the value of Kannada language and culture. He said that if women’s organizations support this programme, it will be more glorious than ever.

He also said that our culture must not lag behind the “pizza culture,” which is rapidly gaining popularity throughout the country. Instead, our culture must blend with the “pizza culture” to create something unique.

Vijayalakshmi Shetty welcomed the gathering. Dr K Devraj, the principal of SDM College of Business Management, Ganesh Amini Sankamara, and Sarvotham Anchan also participated in this meeting.
