New born baby found dead in river at Talapady

Mangalore, July 11, 2013 : The body of a newborn male infant was found floating in a river at Talapady on July 11, Thursday. It is suspected that the child was abandoned by its mother soon after its birth.

It were locals who first noticed the body of the infant and informed the local Panchayat members who in turn intimated  the police.

The body of the infant which bore some injury marks was shifted to the hospital for a post mortem.

 

Ullal police are conducting investigations.
