New Year celebrations restricted ; Section 144 from 6 pm today

Mangaluru, Dec 31, 2020:    In the wake of the fear of the fast spreading Covid-19 strain already detected in the state and in order to check the spread of the virus,  the administration has banned any public celebration of New Year in Mangaluru.

 

As a  strict measure,  prohibitory orders under Section 144 will be enforced in Mangaluru Police Commissionerate limits from 6 pm on December 31 to  6 am on January 1.

Hotels, pubs, clubs and malls have been  instructed not to hold any special programmes for New Year.
