Addressing reporters at the Press Club on Thursday, Kumbra Raghunath Rai, the producer and director of the movie, said that the film is a study of Bhootaradane from the contrasting points of views of two different generations.

Jai Karnataka Kannada Association Founder Muttappa Rai, his wife Rekha Rai, and former Puttur MLA Shakunthala will make guest appearances in the film, he said.

The plot revolves around a family, which believes that its ancestors are a dynasty that once ruled Tulunadu. Since all the women in the family have only one daughter, she becomes the sole owner of the property, thereby ensuring that the property remains within the family. The family strongly believes that the Bhootas are responsible for these circumstances. At this point of time, a child, who can claim a share of the family property, arrives with her parents from California, US for the Bhoota Kola.

The major roles in the film have been played by Navin D. Padil, Charithra Hegde, Saikrishna, and Aravinda Bolar. Director Kumbra Raghunath Rai had also done the film “Maaribale” over a decade back, which won the Best Regional Film Award.

Navin D. Padil, Vijay Kumar Kodialbail, Prakash, and others were present during the press conference.
