New Netravathi Bridge inaugurated

Mangalore, Mar 21, 2014: The New Netravathi Bridge was opened for traffic on March 20, Thursday bringing much relief to the frequent commuters on the route who were tired of the traffic blockades.

 

 

 

Pawan Nejjoor, Assistant Commissioner of Police of Mangalore South Division inaugurated the new bridge following a pooja at the Jeppu Gurvana Temple.

The bridge constructed at a cost of Rs 40 crores has 24 pillars  having auto latching scheme mechanism. The authorities have informed that new bridge will be open for traffic for 20 days as some works at the south end of the project is to e completed.
