New Mangaluru-Yeshwantpur train from Feb. 22

Mangaluru, Feb 19 2019: An official release from South Western Railway (SWR), said that the services of the new tri-weekly train Yeshwantpur-Mangaluru Central-Yeshwantpur will begin from Mangaluru Central on February 22. Its regular services from Yeshwantpur will start on Februrary 24.


Train.Nalin Kumar Kateel, Dakshina Kannada MP, will flag off the train at Mangaluru Central on February 21 at 11 a.m.

Train Nos. 16585/586 would run via Nelamangala, Shravanabelagola, and Hassan. The inaugural special with train No. 06586 would run up to Kabakaputtur to open path and timings.

Train No. 16586 departs Mangaluru Central at 7 p.m. to reach Yeshwantpur at 5 a.m. the next day. Enroute the train would depart Mangaluru Jn-at 7.15 p.m.; Bantwal at 7.50 p.m.; Kabakaputtur at 8.18 p.m.; Subrahmanya Road at 9.10 p.m.; Sakleshpur at 11.40 p.m.; Hassan at 12.45 a.m.; Channarayapatna at 1.35 a.m.; Shravanabelagola at 1.50 a.m.; Yedyiur at 2.40 a.m. and Nelamangala at 3.45 a.m.

In the return direction, Train No. 16585 departs Yeshwantpur at 4.30 p.m. to reach Mangaluru Central at 4 a.m.

Enroute, the train would depart Nelamangala at 4.59 p.m.; Yediyur at 6 p.m.; Shravanabelagola at 6.50 p.m.; Channarayapatna at 7.01 p.m.; Hassan at 8 p.m.; Sakleshpur at 9.15 p.m.; Subrahmanya Road at 12.30 a.m.; Kabakaputtur at 1.15 a.m.; Bantawal at 1.45 a.m. and Mangaluru Jn at 3.15 p.m.

The train will have a composition of one 2-tier AC Coach, one 3-tier AC Coach, seven Second Class Sleeper Coaches, three General Second Class Coaches and two Second class Luggage cum Brake Van with a disabled-friendly compartment.
