New MLC Ivan arrives in city to a rousing reception by party men

Mangalore, June 29, 2014: KPCC Secretary Ivan D’Souza who has been nominated  as MLC arrived in the city  on June 28, Saturday to a rousing reception by Congress workers and leaders. Party men burst crackers and garlanded him on his arrival.

At the District Congress Office, Ibrahim Kodijal, Interim President of the DK District Congress Committee, garlanded Ivan and congratulated him on becoming an MLC.

Ivan who also spoke, said he was extremely thankful to all the MLAs, Ministers from the district as well as party leaders for choosing him for the post and added his nomination as MLC has proved that the party would suitably reward those who serve it with sincerity and dedication.

He further exhorted party worker  to begin groundwork for the party to rise to power in the next elections by enlightening the people on the good works done by Congress government in the past.

NSUI President Ashith Pereira, Hilda Alva, former mayor and others were present.
